ABOUT NH LANGUAGE LEARNING

Brazilian Portuguese, Brought to Life

NH Language Learning is an independent educational publisher creating practical, culturally engaging Brazilian Portuguese books for learners, teachers, schools, libraries, and bilingual families.

OUR STORY

Created by a Teacher, Inspired by Learners

NH Language Learning grew from Natália Hickman’s experience teaching Brazilian Portuguese to English-speaking students. After years of creating practical materials for her own classes, she began transforming those resources into books for learners around the world.

Today, the collection includes grammar courses, visual vocabulary and verb guides, cultural readers, activity books, and bilingual children’s stories—all designed to make Brazilian Portuguese engaging, accessible, and connected to Brazilian culture.

OUR APPROACH

Practical Resources for Real Learning

Our books combine clear explanations, useful vocabulary, visual learning, and practical exercises. The content reflects the questions, challenges, and learning needs observed through years of teaching Brazilian Portuguese.

Language and culture belong together. That is why our materials introduce learners not only to Brazilian Portuguese, but also to everyday conversations, traditions, places, stories, and experiences from Brazil.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Natália Hickman

After teaching more than 300 students, Natália developed a practical approach that combines grammar, conversation, visual learning, and Brazilian culture. Her books are designed to help learners understand how Portuguese is used in real life and build confidence from the beginning.
